In 2006, IMIFAP launched the media campaign “Ven y Atrévete” (Come and Dare) with the object of promoting a raise of consciousness on VIH/AIDS related subjects among young Hispanic speakers worldwide. VenAtrevete.com functions as the focal point of the campaign, offering information on VIH/AIDS through interactive media and online games. The participation of Mexican pop star Diego González as spokesperson for the campaign provided us with public recognition and media attention. “VenAtrévete” has also distributed thousands of posters and transmitted a series of radio commercials. The campaign has offered information on sexual health and VIH/AIDS prevention to over 250,000 Mexican teenagers.
